Dear Families,
It is hard to believe that it is already May! The end of the school year brings mixed emotions for many. While of course our staff are excited for summer and the opportunity to recharge, we will also miss your children and your family. For families who have children headed to kindergarten, this is a bittersweet time as you prepare to move on and say goodbye to ECC. As a mom whose oldest children are finishing up their first year of middle school, I am becoming acutely more aware of how quickly time goes. And I also understand how overwhelming it can feel to care for young children while balancing the stresses of life. Research tells us that caregivers who spend even just 10 minutes a day engaged in play with their child build stronger connections and promote positive social and emotional development. Our Spring Family Conferences this month will be an opportunity for our teachers to share more on the benefits of play as well showcase how your child engages in play at school. Thank you in advance for your participation! It has been an honor to partner with your family this school year, and I wish you a happy summer!
